ASGL206 — Gearless 20 Feet HVLS Fan
The ASGL206 is the large-bay direct drive fan, and the first in the range to move to a three phase supply. A direct driven PMSM outer rotor motor, air and liquid cooled and made in India, is rated 1.2 KW at 270 Nm and turns the 20 ft sweep (6.1 m) at anything from zero to 50 rpm, moving 410,000 CFM. The motor runs N45SH grade magnets, Class H insulation and aluminium top and bottom plates rather than sheet metal. Six cambered aerofoil blades are rolled in Aluminium 6063 T6 to a 190 mm section with two ribs. Supply is three phase 415 V, 50 Hz, and the fan weighs about 125 kg. Noise stays below 40 dB, which is what puts this range into showrooms, halls and food and pharma floors.

- Delta VFD in an IP54 powder coated steel cabinet — start and stop on green and red display, speed adjustment, emergency stop, and a display for speed and status parameters

Anti-Fall Mounting Bracket
The extension tube, motor and hub assembly hang from an anti-fall mounting bracket, so the assembly is still held even if the motor or extension tube bolts fail.
Single Piece Hub And Safety Ring
A single piece hub carries all six blades, and a safety ring interlocks the blades to each other so no blade is retained by its own fixing alone.
Wire Rope Restraint
Every bolted joint is wrapped with 8 mm diameter wire rope, and four further 8 mm ropes carry the fan in balance.
Bolted Joints
All nuts are self-locking Nyloc type, which eliminates any chance of loosening in service, on high tensile 10.9 grade Unbrako or TVS bolts.
Installation Requirements
- Minimum roof height of 18 ft to the underside of the fan for effective coverage; below that, fan count rises.
- Blade tip clearance of at least 600 mm from any beam, duct, light fitting, sprinkler or crane path.
- Hanging point on a load-bearing truss node or purlin, verified at site survey — not a decorative or false ceiling.
- Delta VFD panel wall mounted 4 to 5 ft from floor level, clear of wash-down, oil and heavy dust zones.
- Input power three phase 415 V, 50 Hz to the VFD panel.
- Access equipment (scissor lift or scaffolding) available at site on the installation date.
